Transpersonal Psychotherapy
My Approach
The work is rooted in curiosity toward the aspects of ourselves that remain hidden from consciousness, those that are unspoken, disowned, forgotten, or defended (our shadow). These aspects live in the images that constellate our sense of self through the patterns we repeat, the emotions we avoid, and the ways our bodies shape and move. By illuminating these unseen dimensions, we begin to loosen the grip of old stories and live our lives with greater wholeness and authenticity.
Taking a holistic approach, we engage the dynamics of mind, somatic expression, energetic movement, images, and intentions. Through this inquiry, patterns that once felt invisible begin to reveal themselves in how you speak, how you breathe, how you feel, and in the dreams and symbols that emerge. This is not about erasing these patterns, but about learning to meet them differently, so they no longer define the limitations of your life.
The core intent is to deepen awareness and strengthen your capacity to be in intimate relationship with your authentic self. As awareness grows on all levels (thinking, feeling, sensing, imagining), so does the freedom to move with life rather than against it, and live in closer alignment with the deeper intelligence of your own being.
Core Energetics
Core Energetics is a body-centered approach to psychotherapy that works directly with the entire human energy system. It begins with the understanding that we are not only physical and psychological beings, but also fields of energy/consciousness in constant fluctuation. This energy can flow freely, or it can become blocked and constrained through patterns developed in response to early experiences and conditioning.
In Core Energetics, we bring awareness to how these patterns live in the body — in posture, movement, breath, and muscular holding — and how they influence our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and sense of self. By engaging the body and its energy directly, we can dissolve blocks, restore flow, and open access to a fuller range of feeling and expression.
This work draws from contemporary science, including principles from quantum physics, neuroscience, and systems theory, which recognize that all living systems seek resonance, equilibrium, and differentiation. By restoring the natural flow of energy in the body, we support the integration of insight, emotion, and action, creating transformation that is both embodied and lasting.
Archetypes, Images, & Dreams
Alongside the body’s energy, I work with the inner images and patterns that shape our psychological life. These can appear in dreams, in moments of reverie, or in the spontaneous symbols and metaphors that arise in conversation. Jungian depth psychology views these images as expressions of the unconscious, carrying insight, emotion, and possibility not yet fully recognized by the conscious mind.
Archetypes are universal patterns of human experience, appearing across cultures and time. They offer a language for understanding the forces and tendencies that move through us, such as the Hero’s striving, the Lover’s longing, the Judge’s discernment, the Child’s wonder. When we recognize these patterns at work in our lives, we gain a deeper perspective on our choices and challenges, and the transpersonal dynamics involved in our life.
In this work, we approach dreams and images not as puzzles to be solved, but as living presences to be in relationship with. By exploring them in the context of your life, we invite the unconscious into dialogue, opening pathways for self-understanding, relationship, and growth.
Common Thresholds for the Work
People often arrive at this work when life feels poised at a turning point, a change that demands something deeper. These moments may include:
Major life transitions or unexpected change
A crisis of identity or loss of meaning
Developmental or relational trauma
Repeating patterns in relationships
Persistent depression, anxiety, or grief
Longing for greater intimacy with oneself or others
Spiritual or existential questioning
Life’s pull for self-knowledge and growth
Each threshold is both a challenge and an opening that can be deepened and explored.
‘The cure of the soul begins when life is seen as a question to be deepened, not a problem to be solved.’
